Thanks to the vast generosity and compassion of a patron, Shantideva Meditation Center will be moving into a beautiful home of our own in Park Slope, Brooklyn at the end of 2017. It's a dream about to come true for the Center, as we've been renting space for years at different venues to offer our Dharma programs.

While our patron is completely renovating the space from a former bicycle shop into a gorgeous space ideal for meditation and yoga, we will need to furnish and decorate it entirely from scratch. Our Capital Campaign will enable us to create a beautiful and welcoming home and keep us financially sustainable in this year of transition before we move into the new space.

About our New Home and Fundraising Goal

About Shantideva Meditation Center

Shantideva Meditation Center is dedicated to cultivating wisdom and compassion through the study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism in New York City. We are affiliated with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), which is based on the Buddhist tradition of Lama Tsongkhapa of Tibet as taught by Founder, Lama Thubten Yeshe and Spiritual Director, Lama Zopa Rinpoche. His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama is our inspiration and spiritual guide.

Shantideva Meditation Center presents a series of informed and inspirational public talks, in-depth teachings and retreats with qualified teachers. Other programs include Meditation 101 for complete beginners, Buddhism in a Nutshell, Discovering Buddhism, Basic Program teachings, weekly meditation, pujas and ritual practices, community service, and special events. We also plan to offer yoga classes and children's programs in our new space.

Shantideva Meditation Center is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
